Day 21
21/02
Had a sleepover at a mate’s (happy birthday Ivan…who won’t be reading this), watched The Exorcism of Emily Rose… it wasn’t nightmare scary but it was tense and based on demons and stuff. Was really interesting more so to watch and yeah… then we started to watch
Went to soccer tryouts and I played GOOOOOOOOOD, really good. Pretty confident of getting in to the team scored some wicked goals, we’ll see.
Preserve unity, keep fellowship
Focus on what we have in common, not our differences.
Be realistic in your expectations
Everyone isn’t going to love each other at church. Since we’re all sinners, things are going to mess up sometimes so yeah…must be realistic in what we want to achieve.
Choose not to criticize but encourage
Do not judge other believers. (comparing etc.)
Refuse to listen to gossip
A very relevant one… talk directly to the person about it rather than behind their back. Gossip is bad mmkay!
Practice God’s method for conflict resolution
Private confrontation, go directly to the person involved
Support your pastor and leaders
I can relate to this one, the hard time after camp…I went to some of the leaders and Aunt Lilian. And they sure helped me out so much; I couldn’t have got through the time without them.
Verse: “Let us concentrate on the things which make for harmony and growth of our fellowship together.”
Romans 14:19
Not to create any stupid grudge with anybody at church, leave everything out there and if something is not going well, to get it solved as soon as possible. What else… really just trying to get to know everybody, I still don’t know all of my church family that well so yeh…but the people I know closely its awesome already!
