day 13, God take all of me!

18/02
Day 13

Worship…that pleases God

God is pleased when our worship is:

Accurate
Authentic
Thoughtful
Practical

I must worship based on his word! Not just make my own image of God.
When I praise God, it should be heartfelt praise, a connection between our spirit and the Holy Spirit. I must find the best way to worship God, that suit the sort of person I am…alone with guitar? Probably…+ other ways I’m still seeking I guess
Offer praise to God in new ways, don’t just say the same stuff over and over because it’ll becoming meaningless and you’ll just keep saying it over and over, I think I’m kind of guilty of that, and got to start quoting scripture and not just the same verses…Different translations work too
Don’t focus on ourselves during worship, just on God…Put our hearts out there for God and he’ll respond.
God wants all of me. And...i'll give it to him!
Verse: “Love the lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.” Mark 12:30

Q/A

Uhh, I don’t know. I will try to make God enjoy all my worship??

Hey andrew, albert here.
you seemed confused about the question to consider. I was confused as well when i read the question. I thought that ALL worship should be accurate, authentic, thoughtful, practical and doen with all your heart, out of love for God, not out of duty. Just make sure of this when you are worshiping God - whether it is private or public. I also think many ppl (including me) praise/worship God to feel good...but you grow close to God, you praise and worship him to DO good. and thats also quite important to remember. I hope that kinda "less confused" you about the question.

"True worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and Truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks." Ok here's my skewed view of this statement:
The book says that it is your spirit you worship with. But i dunno, i felt that it could be the Holy Spirit that leads you or helps you to worship. Similarly, Jesus says that he is the Way, the TRUTH and the Life. i.e. when you worship IN spirit and IN truth is it like you get surrounded by the Holy Spirit and Jesus as they help you to worship God? Forgive me if i sound heretical =P Maybe someone should try it e.g.ask the HS and Jesus to completely surround you and help you worship the way they do. Thoughts? I still agree with the books interpretation of in spirit (with your spirit) and in truth (having an accurate image of God).
Yeah i also tend to use heaps of cliches when praying. I'm trying to change it but sometimes it's quite hard.
