Day 15, formed for God's family

Day 15, 20/02

Day off tomorrow, swimming carnival (Tuesday), I don’t think I’m going out. Going to sleep eat and study…

Purpose #2 Formed for God’s family!

When we have faith in Christ, God becomes our father.
Made by God but not born in to it.
My spiritual family is more important than anything because it’ll last forever, in to eternity.
Family on earth = temporary and fragile,

Benefits of God’s family,
Inheritance

Be with God forever…indescribable

Completely changed to be like Christ

Freed from pain /death suffering

Rewarded and reassigned positions of service

Share in Christ’s glory

Haha, Talk about rich.

Baptism…signifies inclusion in God’s family, it shows you are part of it, it doesn’t make you (faith does that)
For me getting baptized now? Bad idea I think too many circumstances which I won’t get in to... In the future? YES!!
Always think about who I belong to when things are going bad that I’m in God’s family, what a privilege and offer this is.

His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ.

Ephesians 1:5a

Q/A

Think about how I’ll be spending eternity with them, yeah…pray together, Bible studies, talk about it, about our thoughts. But mostly recognizing that it’ll be eternity with them and beginning to appreciate it. It also further encourages to reach my non believing friends, hopefully with help from believing mates...

hey!
in your response to the question to consider, you mentioned that we "pray TOGETHER" and evangelise with "help from believing mates". Yeah, its important that we work together to preach the word of the Lord. Rick Warren said so: "A journey is always better when it is shared." And so does the bible: "Two are better off than one, because together they can work more effectively. If one falls down the other can help him up." (Ecclesiastes 4:9). That also reminds me, most people define the word 'church' as a structure where religious activities occur, but a church is a team, a community. And this team works together to preach the gospel.
Any hoo, im saying all this and responding with these comments because i hope that we could bounce ideas off eachother. (just as it said in the book)
okay, anyhoo, i hope this helps.
bye bye now.
ablert.

haha yeah about that...well if we just show sort of, what God is doing in our lives, hopefully that'll reflect upon our non - believing friends and they'll be encouraged to see what this is all about!
Especially with me, being a little cocky one back in the day, hopefully people will see the massivo change that is happening and the reason for that..God!

hey, yeah its good to be in Gods family - but yeah careful when your own family decides to intervene - you got choices when it comes to say youth and church, games night, cell group and bible study nights and meetings, being accountable for someone in need

follow Gods fam straight away and suffer your own familys reactions and prolly embed a bad view of Gods family in their head, (even though God rewards those who leave for Him and get persecuted)

the other choice, dont follow Gods family "for the time being" and be a good witness to your family to show that - because you are in His family, you know how to respect your own family by making them happy, and then they might think "wow hes a good boy maybe we're being too hard on him"

so yeah those are the things i was thinking about for your case as i went through the same thing

what is your opinion?

ok heres a good example

what if someone in your phys fam and spiritual fam was on the verge of attempting suicide, both had no help whatsoever, and you were the only one they could depend on

now you should treat everyone - believers and non believers as brothers and sisters (including physical and spiritual family)

and then it also says (i donno if this comes from the bible, but it says somewhere in the 40 days of purpose or community) treat believers with more attention than non believers

what would you do - save your

physical brother/sister

or your spiritual brother or sister

now this also applies

save your saved spiritual brother/sister - they are saved but it is a sin to commit suicide, they should know that but they still want to anyway

or save your nonsaved physical brother or sister - they don't know it's a sin to commit to suicide, you have an opportunity to save them and guide them to christ
