Day 05, Life is a test and trust

Day 05, 10/02

Seeing Life from God’s view, life is a test and trust

-Image of your life is our life metaphor
-Description of how life works and what you expect from it
-Determines expectations, values, relationships, goals, and priorities
-To fulfill god’s purposes, I must challenge conventional wisdom and replace wit with biblical metaphors of life
-Three metaphors – Trust/Test/temporary assignment

Life on earth is a Test

-Character is developed and revealed
-God watches our response to people, success, conflict, illness, disappointment, and even weather etc.
-Can predict tests based on the Bible
-Major changes, delayed promises, impossible problems, unanswered prayers, undeserved criticism, senseless tragedies
-Understand that life is a test and nothing will be insignificant in our lives
-Eternal implications

Life on earth is a Trust

-God just loans us the earth while we are here
-Will be evaluated and rewarded according to how well you handled what God entrusted to you
-God’s rewards, his affirmation, a promotion (a greater responsibility in eternity) and a celebration
-Money = a test and a trust from God
-The more God gives you, the more responsible he expects you to be

Verse;

Unless you are faithful in small matters, you won’t be faithful in large ones.
Luke 16:10a

Q/A

A test that I already recognized from God was the days of suffering, emotionally after Youth Camp 06. This really tested my faith in God, he was basically just asking, Am i really wor
Also, not being allowed to go to church every week has tested my patience and I was really angry at the time, but now I realize it’s a test from God…
I think that God has entrusted me to well… be a good example especially in my family and just to show that it’s God that will change me in to a Christ like character, and away from my old “rebellious” ways...and yeh...What else...A great more deal of responsiblity now i think, my other two brothers growing up so much leaving only me to be...well lonerised A LOT...
