day 34

Day 34 11/03

Really lazy today, wasted too much time on the computer.

Thinking like a servant

Attitude and why we do something is more important than the actually achievement
Real servants serve God with these 5 attitudes

Servants think more about others than about themselves
Self centered-ness, stop focusing on our own needs and we’ll be aware of others more so!

Let God use us for his purposes, not for our own! We’re tested when others treat us like a servant, use it as a test.

Servants think like stewards, not owners
Money…
Fail to use it for God’s glory and it becomes a sin. Money can take over your dedication to God.

Servants think about their work, not what others are doing
No need to criticize, be jealous, compete, compare. We should be too busy serving to criticize.

Servants base their identity in Christ
Deep down, being secure about whom we are free from the fear of what others think of us and their expectations. Be secure and we can serve
We don’t need certificates and trophies to tell us that we’ve achieved something

Servants see ministry as opportunity not an obligation
Interesting that this came up tonight at dinner which was awesome dinner, thank God for that, about how people may not have the desire to be involved in any ministry and that this is a problem! Or maybe they just don’t know how to get involved, with me, I’m pretty enthusiastic to join worship but… factors prevent this L.
We should know of God’s reward, be wary of his grace and therefore be encouraged to serve…

Verse

Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus
Philippians 2:5

Q/A

Initially being served, but not that I’ve settled in and all, I really want to get involved in serving others…
